The radio is a wireless receiver through which we hear sound of messages sent from distance places of the world . Sound or messages of any kind are sent by means of electrical waves to distant places . This is called
broadcasting .It was
,Marconi ,the great Italian scientist who first invented wireless in
1894 .
The wireless apparatus has two parts ;
the transmitter and the receiver .It is popularly known as the radio .In a Radio we may hear messages ,songs ,plays , etc . Broadcast through a transmitter from some radio station .
IT`S POPULARITY:
Since its invention wireless has made rapid progress . Besides, it has earned great popularity .The radio has been very common now -a -days . There is hardly any family without a radio.

The radio helps to remove the dullness of hard working life. Various programmes of
the radio is not only a means of giving pleasure or joy .It has great educative value . Learned talks and speeches broadcast from distant centres can be heard through the radio and we can learn many things from theme . Besides, we may come in immediate touch with the happenings around the would listening to a radio . Even the illiterate people can learn many things listening to the news and speeches in a radio . It is ,therefore, considered to be a necessary medium for giving institutions. Every school or education institution is expected to have a radio now -a-days .
songs and plays please the mind of the listeners . It really makes a home happy .It gives life and joy to the hardworking men and labourer s.,
MAINTAINS CLOSE RELATIONSHIP AMONG TH
The radio has enabled us to maintain close relationship with the people of different parts of the world . Distance is no barrier now -a-days .We may remain in immediate touch with the people living far apart with the help of radio .
EVILS OF PARTY PROPAGANDA :
Sometimes ,however ,broadcasting is taken as a means of serving party politics . Such news or messages may sow seeds of disruption or resentment among the people . This should be checked , for evil things spread through the radio may prove dangerous .
CONCLUSION :
The radio thus has been considered to be a blessing to mankind, and humanity to-day stands indebted to its inventor..
